So what if Michael Phelps smoked marijuana? No one was hurt and he's still an amazing competitor, yes I would continue to give money to Phelps as a sponsor. Once again I wdould still pay Phelps to market my products. The fact that he was smoking marijuana just proves that he's just like everybody else he made a mistake, and if he continues to smoke marijuana well, that's his personal life.

    my lord im tired of hearing about to be honest. he is 23 let him live his life the way he wants to. its not a big deal and its very unseriouse !

    I do agree that alot of people make mistakes and hopefully Phelps won't make that mistake again. If he were to continue to smoke marijuana, then the products that he helps market would lose profit. Many parents won't buy those products for their kids. I do think his sponsorships will keep him aslong as this isn't a reacuring problem.

    i agree but you have to look at it through the marketing aspect. if Phelps is using this drug so casually what stops reporters from trying to say he does other drugs; such as steroids! this could cause too much bad publicity with his olympic dreams where if it happens again or more pictures come out he might lose what was once his dream.
