I think that if Scholastic wants to continue to be successful then they should continue to sell non-book items. Kids need breaks every now and then and when they do take a break and the put M&M Kart racing in their Wii, they will remember that they got it from the Scholastic company. Yes i think it is perfectly ethical. If I were a parent this would not bother me because Scholastic is just trying to be successful. If it helped to improve business then yes I would without hesitation change my product list

  1. I see your point on how they need to improve their business but at the same time they might not be making the best choice. They could possibly lose money because children arent going to spend their money on the higher priced items such as books, but on posters, and other non-book items. It's almost a lose-lose situation.

  2. I do agree with you about the kids needing a break from school but they need to read and they can also get their stuff too. I still think that they should keep on selling books and selling non-books too.
