The cereal box changing size does not mean that the whole current cereal box size will change. Some companies may decide to keep the current size of the cereal box or the new box size may not sit well with consumers so as of now it's too soon to say. As stated in the article the new size will make it fit better in cupboards and shelves better than the current size. However if it is reconstructed to fit cupboards the volume may decrease having less cereal per box which would be a major drawback for some if not all.

  1. I think you are right about the new boxes not fitting into the cupboards because it is taller and thinner since cupboards have a small space

  3. That is a good point about the decrease in amount of cereal per box. The current boxes are large but are only 3/4 full. Hopefully with the new boxes they can completely fill them so that there is the same amount of cereal as before.

  4. I agree with Carlin on this one about the cereal being too low in the box and you are not getting your cereal for your price.

  6. I think that the new idea is actually a good one. If it catches on pretty well, i definitely think others will start doing the same thing.
