To me the new dora is not an issue, however it upsets parents because it is teaching small girls to be materialistic. Dora also was a show that was educational for both small boys and girls, but with the new shopping theme it will no longer interest young boys and will not be educational. No, young boys watched dora when they were younger, now that the boys are getting older a new shoppaholic dora will not peak their interest. Well, not really. They stated that the old dora will still bea aired and as the kids get older they will have already learned what dora has to teach so they will want to wdatch shows more targeted towards their age group. Well teens aren't really going to buy any dora goods, but parents might stop buying the products for their kids so there is potential for loss.

  2. I think that the new Dora will not be a bad idea she has to grow up sometime and little kids will still watch the younger version of her.

  3. Good point. The younger boys who are growing up wont exactly be interested in the new Dora. I didnt even think about that.
